- Well, touche! It appears you don't know what you're talking about to me.
- Look at the symbolic equation I gave above again. Do you see an "="
- (equal) operator there? I said ECS + RTG is ">" (greater than) AGA. Can
- you display 1600x1200 with AGA? I've yet to see it. Can you display 24-bit
- with ANY size screen with AGA?
-
- My only point was to point out that AGA is not by any means required to
- have millions of colors to choose from. Not only can I choose from 16
- million, I can have them all. And I never said this was made possible
- through the ECS chips, I simply said I can do it on an ECS machine. And
- what I meant about the gfx card not creating all those colors by itself, I
- meant that a computer is required, yes, a Draco IS a computer. Pull the
- Retina board out of a Draco and see how many colors the Retina displays.
-
- Geesh, you guys want to make a federal case out this for some reason. I
- just simply get tired of everyone going on and on about AGA-this and
- AGA-that (screwed-up IDE and all). If you're content with hassling with
- two hard drive controllers to enjoy SCSI devices, fine. Enjoy! I plan to
- go on enjoying my hassle-free A3000 with SCSI built-in. Dave Haynie really
- did a great job, IMHO.
-
- Check out ShapeShifter on any gfx card and then on an AGA screenmode, then
- decide. I already have.
